oh yeah, i've got a sleep cd too. it's one of dr jeffrey thompson's sleep-inducing cds. i bought it to help anton sleep better but it works for both bobby and me -- even though bobby says it's irritating. it makes him fall asleep in seconds!

i know, i bought a hand-held mixer for under $20 and i don't even have to use it most of the time. the healthy recipes i have don't require butter so everything can be mixed together with a wooden spoon.

Lec, I no longer have insomnia ever since I started listening to relaxation tapes. Let me know if you want me to order one for you. I can't remember the titles of the CDs I use. I'll let you know later.

Lec, that is a thing of beauty and in my favorite color too! However, the sale price is still high. Here, it goes on sale for under $200. Also, you don't really need a high-end mixer to bake your goodies. My Sunbeam stand mixer with 2 stainless steel bowls and 2 different hooks is still going strong after more than 13 years of use.

Lec, it is not a good idea to skip the step of separating the egg yolks and egg whites. This is what makes the pancakes light and fluffy. I have a buttermilk pancake recipe that requires this step, too. To save time, I assemble all the dry ingredients at night, already measured out. Then all I have to do in the morning is work on the wet ingredients and mix everything together.
