Martha Saves the Day … And Paula’s New Friend
I slept fitfully last night. Our toilet bowl had been backed up and I was having nightmares about it. So this morning, Bobby and I were ready to call a plumber. We know plumbers in North America are very expensive to hire, but sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do.
I remembered that I just ordered Martha Stewart’s Homekeeping Handbook. It’s a housekeeping tome with over 700 pages. Maybe it had instructions for dealing with a clogged drain. True enough, it did. Ten minutes later, Bobby had solved the problem. His brother, Art, had recommended getting a product called Drain-o, but I said, “No, Martha doesn’t mention that.”
The rest of the day, Paula and I were busy making this:

His name is Spritekin and we made him from Aranzi Aronzo’s book, “Cute Dolls”. Paula cut all the felt parts and stuffed the doll. She didn’t want to make him plump. He may be small but he’s got attitude (and splatters from dinner):

We had a lot of fun making Spritekin. Next time, we’re going to make his cousin, Sprite.
Stumble it!
