My email service provider, Mailchimp, requires you to complete several steps before adding you to my email list.
This protects you from spam and ensures that you receive what you asked for, so please bear with me!
First, look for the confirmation email. If it's not in your inbox, it may have landed in your spam folder by mistake. It will look like this:
Clicking that button will open a page on a separate tab, where you'll have to click two more things:
