new marketing ideas to try

If you want your business to keep being successful and not be lost in the crowd or forgotten by customers, you’re going to need to keep trying new things, especially when it comes to marketing. Of course, you can’t just rush headlong into those new things because that’s where mistakes can happen, and you might do more harm than good to your business, but with the right research and the right tools, some new marketing ideas could be exactly right for you. So with that in mind, let’s take a look at some of the marketing ideas you could put in place and use to your advantage – there are plenty to choose from so read on to find out more.

Interactive Content

One fantastic idea to engage with your audience more is to use interactive content if you can. Unlike what you might call still or static content, interactive content is an experience that actually involves your users and customers, making them part of the whole process rather than just a passive viewer. That’s exciting, and it can definitely make them warm to you – they’ll remember you at the very least. And just what is interactive content? Well, it can be pretty much anything that involves some kind of participation, so things like quizzes are good, clickable infographics work well, having VR showrooms for products or perhaps even having a website that allows customers to build their own product or see how it would look in a room, for example.

Interactive content works because it keeps users engaged for longer, and that can often lead to higher conversion rates (which is exactly what you want). Plus, the more customers who sign up for these things, the more data you can collect which helps you build your business and market even more precisely in the future.

Augmented Reality (AR)

You’ve probably heard of virtual reality (VR) and you might even have considered using it in your business somehow – perhaps you already do – but what about augmented reality (AR)? Have you heard of it and do you use it? If not, it could be time to find out more, because AR can be a brilliant way to market your business and make sure customers remember you.

AR can be used for all kinds of things, but one that can help when it comes to your marketing is that it can allow customers to ‘try on’ products and see what they think before buying. We all love online shopping, but there is that element of uncertainty that you don’t get when you see a physical item in a store, and it can lead to customers taking more time to decide and ultimately not buying or buying and realizing they’ve made a mistake in some way and then returning the item, which can lead to problems with cash flow.

If customers have the chance to try things on beforehand using AR, they’ll be more confident in their decisions and they’ll buy more often with fewer returns. And it doesn’t just have to be clothing either (although that’s definitely an area where this can work well); it can be pretty much anything. You could help customers who want to buy furniture, food, decor, windows, shoes… it really doesn’t matter because AR can have its place. As for your marketing, make this a huge part of your USP and people will be intrigued – once they try it out, they’ll realize how useful it is and you may well have created customers for life.

Using Drones

Drones may well have been toys once upon a time, or perhaps the first thing you think about is military use, but the fact is that they’ve become invaluable when it comes to marketing, meaning you might be able to use good quality drones like the DJI drone to really stand out and make an impact.

What’s great about drones is that they’ve become a lot more accessible and affordable over the years, so they’re definitely something you can consider now even if your budget couldn’t manage it before, and they offer a really unique way to get attention; after all, you’ll be able to offer a literal new perspective on your business and products when you use a drone to market them!

One big reason to use drones is that you’ll be able to take fantastic aerial shots and video that can showcase products or events and make sure you can show potential customers every part of your business and what you can do. Or how about using drones to deliver products? If you can stand out because you’re using new technology to help customers in a fun, exciting way, and if you can make sure you mention all of that on your marketing, you’re sure to stand out! As you can see, investing in a drone or two could be a big step forward for your business.

Personalized Video Campaigns

Carrying on from the idea of unique videos, and thinking about how important personalization is when it comes to marketing, combining the two things could be a powerful way to do great marketing and create something that literally speaks to each individual customer.

Personalized videos are a good idea because they create a strong connection between your business and your customers, which is all-important if you want people to buy from you more than once and, ideally, tell others that you’re a good place to buy from too (word of mouth marketing is massively effective, and if you do a good job in your business in general, it shouldn’t cost a thing). When a customer sees content that’s made just for them, they’re far more likely to engage, and a lot of the time, that means you’ll make more sales.

So what videos could you make? One idea would be a welcome video that you send to new customers which could thank them for buying from you and giving them information on when to expect their product to arrive and so on. Or you could send videos recommending specific products, or perhaps one to celebrate milestones like a birthday or something similar. Whatever it is, investing time and effort into creating these videos should pay dividends because who’s going to walk away from a business that really gets them and knows what they want?
